Primary Education

Mr. Barassa converted his single room into a classroom and therefore, the community immediately noted his devotion and started sending more children to him for assistance. The children were to join diverse classes. Some, lower classes and some Upper classes. Mr. Barassa shortly had to look for additional rooms to accommodate for the twenty four (24) Pupils that had already enrolled for classes. Mr.Barassa’s wife. then full time employee else where, resigned to support his husband’s efforts to teach the children. Genesis Joy Upper & Lower Primary was born attracting children from diverse family backgrounds.

Genesis Joy Upper &Lower Primary experienced an exponential growth as the academic performance, discipline and the wholesome growth of the child kept on advancing and it was also evident that the project was out to improve the lives of the children and all the respective deliverables could be pointed out. Over the years, the school has grown in leaps and bounds attracting various notable achievements;

    • The school was chosen to present pupils who presented poems during the launching of Adopt a light ceremony in one of the five star Hotel called Grand Regency in Nairobi, Kenya.
    • The school participates in out door games (football, netball, volleyball, Tae kwon do, choir) to national level.
    • GJPI has up to date, Presented hundreds of candidates for National Exams (KCPE) passing with above average marks.
    • The need for Secondary wing arose when a majority of class eight graduates could not afford school fees in Private and Public Secondary schools they had joined. There was a massive dropout.
